A motor drive roller (also called a motorized roller or driven roller) is a type of roller used in conveyor systems that integrates an electric motor directly inside the roller. Unlike traditional conveyor systems where an external motor drives the rollers via belts or chains, a motor drive roller has a built-in motor, making the system more compact, efficient, and easier to maintain.
Key Features of Motor Drive Rollers
Built-in Motor – The motor is housed inside the roller, eliminating the need for external drive components.
Direct Drive Mechanism – Power is transmitted directly to the roller, reducing energy loss and improving efficiency.
Modular Design – Easy to install and replace, reducing downtime.
Low Maintenance – Fewer moving parts (no belts, chains, or gears) mean less wear and tear.
Quiet Operation – Reduced noise compared to traditional conveyor drives.
Customizable Speeds – Some models allow speed control via variable frequency drives (VFDs) or controllers.
Common Applications
Conveyor systems in logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing.
Packaging and sorting lines (e.g., in e-commerce fulfillment centers).
Food processing and pharmaceutical industries (where hygiene and cleanliness are critical).
Assembly lines in automotive and electronics industries.
DC24V/48V DGBL60A Gear Motor Drive Roller
Brief Introduction
DGBL60A direct current motor driven roller is driven by a direct current motor and can handle light, medium, and high loads with adjustable speed.
Built-in direct current brushless gear reduction motor matched with interlligent controller, with great efficiency.
Optional motors include the standard power motor and high power motor.
Uses a 24V or 48V direct current safety voltage.
Roller speed range 1.04 - 144 m/min, 8.7%–100% of speed adjustment range.
To implement IO control, ZPA functionalities, RS485, EtherCAT, and internet interface, several interlligent controllers have been adapted.
Galvanized steel or stainless steel roller pipe, length is customzied.
The driven head of the roller can be fixed with a groove or a pulley, sprocket, timing pulley, V-pulley, or polyvee pulley.
Intelligent control and simple installation.
