DC24V/48V DGBL50A Gear Motor Driven Roller

Motor Driven Roller (MDR) is a self-powered conveyor roller that integrates a motor, gear reduction mechanism, and sensors within a robust steel tube. This integrated design eliminates the need for external motors, chains, intermediate shafts, or other auxiliary drive components, thereby simplifying system architecture and reducing installation complexity. The compact form factor obviates the requirement for bulky external gear reducers.


To deploy, simply mount the MDR onto the conveyor frame and connect it to the power supply via cable. The result is a streamlined conveying system that offers enhanced cleanliness, higher packing density, improved aesthetics, and greater safety and reliability.


MDRs are widely used across diverse industries such as food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronic assembly, airport logistics, postal services, and distribution centers. They effectively support the growing demand for automation and  customized conveying solutions in various industrial applications.


Main Features

  • DGBL50A series motor drive roller is easy to adjust speed and high performance, be suitable for heavy, medium and light load.

  • Built-in high-efficiency direct brushless gear reduction motor,  strong power and runs smoothly. The accompanying controller is used to achieve precise control, making the operation more convenient.

  • Output torque is optional, standard power type, high power type and high torque type for various loading requirements.

  • Adopts DC24V or DC48V safety voltage.

  • Speed 0.87m/min-120m/min, speed adjustable range 8.7%-100%.

  • Multiple intelligent controller are adapted to realize IO control, ZPA functions, with communication interface RS485, Profinet, Ethernet, CC-Link and Modbus TCP, etc.

  • Simple installation to reach intelligent control.

Note:  3-STAGE gear reduction 2-STAGE gear reduction

S1 working mode—suitable for continuous material transportation, such as belt conveyors. 

S2 working mode—suitable for intermittent material transportation, such as box-type transfer.

Switch the S1/S2 working mode through the controller DIP switch function.

       Single drive segment load shall not exceed 200kg by poly-v driven mode.

       Single drive segment load shall not exceed 35kg by O-belt driven mode. 

※7. Maximum load and allowable maximum driven roller: Due to the differences in the actual usage of the site by each customer, such as the levelness of roller installation, the rollers central pitch, the contact area between the goods' bottom and the rollers, etc., the data provided here are only for reference and suggestion. More precise measurements are required, please communicate with the sales regarding the actual working conditions.


Tips: Switch power supply of a single motor drive roller, should be selected based on 2 times the power of the motor drive roller.

★Poly-v : 

① SUS304 pulley, alloy steel pulley and polymer pulley are optional, 9 grooves for PJ belt. 

② The load capacity of the roller depends on the transmission arrangement and the type of poly-v belt. When there are fewer driven rollers or when a 3PJ or even a 4PJ poly-v belt is used, the load capacity is high; conversely, it is low. 

③ The max. load capacity can reach 200kg. If the load exceeds 100kg, an alloy pulley needs to be selected. Note: OD50 default spring loaded shaft, without waterproof function.

  • T: Toothed Belt Pulley

★Toothed Belt: 

① Toothed belts can effectively prevent slipping. The above figure shows a molded nylon toothed belt pulley, with 2 grooves, T5 type with 26 teeth. Special requirements can be customized for the specifications. The materials available include aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and engineer plastic pulleys. 

② The load capacity of the roller is determined by the transmission arrangement and the type of toothed belt. Generally, the load capacity for a conveying zone can reach up to 100 kg.

  • O: Grooved

★Grooved: 

① Grooved rollers are connected by PU O-ring belt, so it is very quite and suitable for light conveying application. 

② The torque decays rapidly. A single motor dirve roller can only drive 7-8 passive rollers. In a single  conveying unit, the weight of a single piece of goods should not exceed 35kg. 

Note: When the end shaft of the grooved roller is spring loaded type, please contact our company for the  grooved dimensions.

  • E: O-ring Belt Pulley

★O-ring belt pulley: 

① The O-ring belt pulley produced by the mold are connected by PU O-ring belt, so it is very quite  and suitable for light conveying application. 

② The torque decays rapidly. A single motor dirve roller can only drive 7-8 passive rollers. In a  single conveying unit, the weight of a single piece of goods should not exceed 35kg.

  • L: Sprocket

★Sprocket: 

① Be suitable for heavy conveying, general the sprocket model number is 08B14T, single-row or double-row. Carbon steel or stainless steel 304 are optional. 

② The torque attenuation is significant. To achieve the best transmission performance, the double-row drive should be arranged in the middle section of the conveyor.

  • ZT: Tapered Sleeve

★Tapered Sleeve: 

① The plastic tapered sleeve has a cone angle of 3.6 degrees and is suitable for curved transportation. It can be composed of multiple sections of conical plastic sleeves to form a cone shape. 

② Use the dedicated tapered motor drive roller mounting bracket. It is not recommended to use external threads for installation.
