FD Series Motorized Flexible Expandable Roller Conveyor
It is a kind of motorized roller conveyor which has the ability to expand and compact freely within a certain range of length. In addition to being adjustable in height, its conveying surface is able to be expanded, angled or curved when necessary. Usually, it is used in shopping centers, warehouses and stockyards for loading and unloading. As well as receiving and delivering of packaging lines, transit conveyor lines, and physical distribution, this device can be used in a variety of ways. Particularly, it is suitable for the transportation of flat-bottomed carton packages. As a result, it can meet quickly and safely the needs of handling between two interfaces, while reducing labor strength.
Normally we provide 3 type of standard roller for customer's choice.
Poly-v pulley driven roller
Toothed pulley driven roller
Grooved belt driven roller
Poly-V belt driven rollers offer several distinct features and advantages compared to synchronous (toothed) belt-driven rollers and O-belt (round belt) driven rollers. Here’s a detailed comparison.
Features of Poly-V belt Driven Roller
Multiple Ribs (Grooves) – Poly-V belts have several small V-shaped ribs running parallel along the belt, allowing for better grip and power transmission.
High Flexibility – The thin, multi-rib design allows the belt to bend easily around small pulleys, enabling compact roller designs.
High Friction Contact – The multiple ribs increase the contact area with the pulley, reducing slippage compared to O-belts.
No Toothed Engagement – Unlike synchronous belts, Poly-V belts rely on friction, eliminating the need for precise tooth alignment.
Advantage of Poly-V belt Driven Roller
No Tooth Jumping – Synchronous belts can skip teeth if misaligned or overloaded, while Poly-V belts maintain grip without precise timing.
Quieter Operation – Poly-V belts run more smoothly and with less noise than toothed belts.
Better for High-Speed Applications – The lack of teeth reduces vibration at high speeds.
More Tolerant of Misalignment – Less sensitive to pulley alignment errors compared to synchronous belts.
Higher Power Transmission – Multiple ribs provide more surface contact, allowing higher torque transfer than a single O-belt.
Reduced Slippage – The increased friction from multiple ribs minimizes belt slip under load.
Longer Belt Life – Poly-V belts distribute wear across multiple ribs, whereas O-belts wear out faster due to concentrated stress.
Better for Heavy Loads – More suitable for high-torque applications than O-belts, which are better for light-duty systems.
Poly-V belt-driven rollers offer a balance between the high friction drive of O-belts and the precision of synchronous belts, making them ideal for applications requiring high power transmission, low slippage, and smooth operation without the need for exact synchronization. They are especially advantageous in high-speed conveyors, packaging systems, and automated material handling.
Speed
Every unit is driven by a micro motor. We provide fixed speed type and adjustable speed type optionally. In order to be easy to operate, a start switch and E-stop switch are mounted on the end of this conveyor. Please rewrite this paragraph.
Fixed speed type: The linear speed of the roller conveying surface is 25 m/min. No electric control cabinet is provided.
Adjustable speed type: The range of speed regulation is 10-35m/min,with an electric control cabinet.

Load Capacity
The flexible expandable roller conveyor is suitable for the transportation of the vast majority of box-shaped goods. When complete expanding, loading capacity per unit ( between support legs) is no more than 100kg in the state of no impact load.
Casters
Heavy-duty swivel castors with brake are used for stable positioning during package handling.
Joint Hooks
For longer conveying distances, joint hooks can be used to connect multiple flexible expandable conveyors end-to-end.
